ADOPT A LEOPARD!

Jordan - Born sometime in 1996, Jordan came to Zooville on March 9, 2008.  Since we don't know the actual date of birth, we celebrate his birthday as March 9th!  Jordan was boarded at a public facility and had been well cared for by the staff, but unfortunately the facility went out of business as a result of a divorce.  By that time the laws in Florida had changed regarding ownership of large cats, and the actual owner of the cat could not meet the new requirements that would let him take Jordan home with him, so he needed to find a new home.  We were contacted through the staff of the facility that had cared for him, and asked if we could give Jordan a home here.  We we were all too happy to help this magnificent animal.

LEOPARD ENRICHMENT

Jordan has moments of cub like behavior where he can't get enough of his toys, while the rest of the time he is too reserved to be seen acting like a child!  That would be very undignified!  He does however love a wide variety of scents and food enrichment, as well as large logs to lay on and sharpen his claws on.  Keeping our animals mentally fit is very important to us.  Your support helps us keep these guys not just physically fit, but mentally fit as well!  Whether we are using different substrates to give different tactile experiences, or scents for stimulating the olfactory senses, or things they can tear into like bones, boxes and various toys, we love to watch the animals respond, react, and rejoice!
