ADOPT A REPTILE!

Turbo - Turbo came to Zooville in 2009 from a facility in central Florida that had been closed down by the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission.  We know virtually nothing of his history, but he is happy, healthy and content and that is what is most important.
Zippy - Zippy belonged to someone who knew a former volunteer, and when they decided they no longer wanted her, they brought her here.  Zippy came in 2010 and was only about 2 years old.  She was considerably smaller that Turbo, but she had (and still has) plenty of places to get away from him when he wants to bully her.  She is a great education animal, and is one of the few animals we take off property to do outreach programs with.
Spot - Spot came to Zooville in 2010 after being found wandering in a neighborhood.  He was taken to a pet store and left there, but this pet store sells food and products only, no live animals.  The owner of the store knew of us and had frequently donated pet food here, so when the tortoise arrived, she knew who to call!  Today, Spot lives with Zippy and Turbo and also goes off property for our education programs.  While we don't know how Spot came to be living outdoors and "free," he is a great ambassador for responsible ownership of all animals, and a representative of the problem of released animals that plagues Florida.  The lessons he teaches are extremely important!
